Privacy Policy – BALOTECH

This policy explains how Balotech Technology Solutions Co., Ltd. (“we”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use BALOTECH, in line with Vietnamese personal data protection law.

1. Data we collect

Account: name, email, password (stored only as a one-way hash we cannot read), country, display language.
Business / expert profile: company name, industry, headcount, systems in use, problems, goals; for experts: title, expertise, industries, project count, bio.
What you post: problems, case studies, comments, poll votes, follows and “helpful” marks.
Assessments: your DX Score answers, what you enter into the AI Advisor, and the results.
Advice requests and event sign-ups: name, email, phone, company, message.
Technical data: IP address, browser type and browser language.

2. How we use it

To create and manage your account and show the profile and content you choose to make public.
To calculate your DX Score, build your Digital Transformation Blueprint and suggest suitable solutions.
To pass advice requests to the BALOTECH team and, where relevant, to the expert or vendor you choose to contact.
To send necessary emails: sign-up confirmation, password resets, event confirmations.
To choose your display language: your IP address is checked against a list of IP ranges stored on our own server to tell whether you are in Vietnam. Your IP is not sent to any outside geolocation service.
To prevent abuse: limiting sign-in and form attempts per IP address (kept temporarily, at most one hour, as a hash).

3. AI processing and transfers abroad

When AI features are enabled, what you enter into the AI Advisor and the content you post publicly (for automatic Vietnamese ↔ English translation) is sent to the Claude service of Anthropic, PBC (United States) for processing. This is a transfer of data abroad; we send only what each task needs. Do not enter confidential information into the AI Advisor that you do not want processed this way.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with: the experts or vendors you choose to contact through a connection or advice request; service providers that help run the platform (hosting, email delivery, the AI service above); and public authorities where the law requires.

5. Cookies

balo_lang: remembers your chosen language (1 year).
balo_session, balo_auth, balo_secure: keep you signed in.

We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Retention

Account and profile data are kept until you ask us to delete your account. Advice requests are kept for up to [24] months after the last contact. Abuse-prevention data is deleted automatically within one hour.

7. Your rights

You have the right to be informed about, access, correct, request deletion of, restrict processing of, and withdraw consent for your personal data, and to complain about how it is processed. You can edit most information on your Account and Profile pages; for anything else, email [CONTACT EMAIL]. We respond within the time limits set by law.

8. Security

Passwords are one-way hashed, connections are encrypted with HTTPS, and internal access to data is limited by role. No system is perfectly secure; if an incident affects your data, we will notify you as required by law.

9. Children

BALOTECH is for businesses and working professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
